The Eden Prairie Center welcomed Japanese-inspired store MINISO with a grand opening Jan. 25, which led to a line of intrigued shoppers who were eyeing the grand opening sales.
Inspired by a trip overseas, founder Guofu Ye came up with the idea of MINISO in 2013. According to the MINISO website, Ye established MINISO-"Global IP Collection Store" in a garage in Guangzhou, China. Since then, MINISO has popped up in places all over the world including North America, Europe, and Asia.
