The body of Valentin Ramos, 43, was located Jan. 27 in the Minnesota River near Highway 55 and Highway 5 after Ramos' family reported him missing Jan. 25. The search included the Minnesota BCA, Eden Prairie Police Department, Dakota County Dive Team, Eagan Police Department and Hennepin County Water Patrol Units.

According to police, Ramos’ family reached out to law enforcement because they believed Ramos was in crisis. Ramos lived in Eagan and was last seen at Redstone American Grill in Eden Prairie. Ramos may have been traveling along Highway 62 and Highway 5/494 toward the south metro. He was driving a 2006 Black Honda Pilot with the Minnesota license plate RPU 257.
