To the Editor:

Over the years, Edina residents have relied on Community Comment at City Council meetings. It's provided all residents an equal opportunity to stand before the City Council and fellow residents to express concerns. But at the Dec. 17 City Council meeting, Councilmember Carolyn Jackson suggested that Community Comment should no longer be part of the recorded City Council meetings. Residents could come and express their concerns to the council before meetings, but those comments would not be recorded or available to the public.
