Wayzata High School is cutting loose with fall musical "Footloose." Opening night was Nov. 15, but performances continue Friday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 23 at 1 and 7 p.m.

Mostly recognized for its 1984 and 2011 movie adaptations, "Footloose" was adapted into a Broadway musical in 1998 by lyricist and writer Dean Pitchford. The musical follows rule-breaking, dance-loving teenager Ren McCormack who must move away with his mom Ethel from Chicago, Illinois to small town Bomont.
