The Northern Lights Volleyball 14-1 team won the girls 14 Open division at the AAU Junior National Championships earlier this month in Orlando, Florida. Northern Lights won 10 of its 12 matches in the tournament and came back to beat A5 Volleyball Club of Georgia in the championship match after dropping the first set.

Teams from Northern Lights Volleyball are making their presence known at the AAU Junior National Championships, including winners at the girls Open and Classic levels.
The Burnsville-based club’s 14-1 team won the 14 Open division, winning 10 of its 12 matches over four days at the nationals in Orlando, Florida. The Open division is the tournament’s highest competitive level. In its last two matches, Northern Lights had to come back after losing the first set to win a best-of-three match, They defeated A5 Volleyball Club of Georgia 20-25, 25-21, 15-13 in the finals June 17.
