MONTICELLO — Four brave military chaplains who gave their lives more than 80 years ago in a selfless act of heroism during World War II will be remembered by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post.

Monticello’s VFW Post 873 will hold its second annual Dorchester Day this Sunday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Cedar Street headquarters, marking the 82nd anniversary of one of the nation’s worst war-time sea disasters.
