Wonton soup will warm you up on a cold winter’s day, while also satisfying your craving for Chinese takeout. — all without having to leave home.

As winter’s harsh bite deepens and those wicked wind chills send us scurrying indoors, I’ve decided to let the liquid love keep flowing through January. Welcome to Part II of my Seasonal Soup Series.

There are a few fixtures you will always find lurking in the depths of my two overstuffed freezers: Ice cream, for one, no matter what time of year; cookie dough; frozen fruit and veggies; a ziplock bag full of my favorite meatballs; and a couple rock-solid baguettes, just to name several.
