Police officers and the children went to the Champlin Police Department after shopping for pizza and to wrap presents.
In a display of community spirit, the Osseo area came together for the first annual "Shop with a Cop" event, which aims to foster positive relationships between local law enforcement and community. The Champlin Police Department let the Osseo Police Department join them for the shopping.
The Osseo Police Department and two Masonic bodies, Northeast Winslow Lewis Lodge #125 and Order of Eastern Star Whittemore Chapter #283, and Circle K worked together. With five middle school children participating, the event not only provided essential holiday gifts but also emphasized the importance of community engagement and support.
