Superintendent Teri Staloch and Chief Financial Officer Kristen Hoheisel speak to a crowd on Nov. 20 at Robbinsdale Cooper High School.

The Robbinsdale Area Schools Board of Education recently said yes to its 2024 tax levy, yes to censuring a director and yes to a new transportation contract during an approximately seven-hour meeting that began on Dec. 16 and ended Dec. 17.

In addition to approving the levy, the superintendent and chief of finance spoke about tackling the $20 million deficit. The district chose to go with Durham again for transportation. And, Director Sharon E. Brooks was censured a second time and removed from the committee due to reports of harassment and discrimination against Director Caroline Long.
