INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 299 CALEDONIA, MINNESOTA ABBREVIATED SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES MARCH 1, 2018 The Board of Education of Independent School District No. 299, Caledonia, Minnesota, met in a special school board meeting in the superintendents office. The meeting was called to order by Chair Kelley McGraw at 5:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was said. The school board members present were Jared Barnes, Emily McGonigle, Kelley McGraw, Michelle Werner, Jimmy Westland, Spencer Yohe, and Superintendent Ben Barton. Absent was Director Melissa Marschall. Moved by Jimmy Westland, seconded by Emily McGonigle to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. Moved by Jared Barnes, seconded by Jimmy Westland to approve the Memorandum of Understanding with Non-bargaining Administrative Agreement with Barbara Meyer for the 2017-2018 school year as presented. Those voting in favor: Jared Barnes, Emily McGonigle, Kelley McGraw, Jimmy Westland and Spencer Yohe. Those opposed: Michelle Werner. Absent was Director Melissa Marschall. Motion carried. Moved by Jimmy Westland, seconded by Michelle Werner to accept the retirement/resignation of Dorothy Pettit effective at the end of the 2017-2018 school year with thanks for her past thirty-three years of service and dedication to our school district. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. Moved by Emily McGonigle, seconded by Jared Barnes to adjourn the meeting at 5:33 p.m. Motion carried by a unanimous vote.
