COON CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS LOWER COON CREEK CORRIDOR RESTORATION PROJECT Sealed Bid Proposals will be received by the Coon Creek Watershed District, 13632 Van Buren St. NE, Ham Lake, Minnesota 55304, until 12:00 PM CDT, Friday, October 18, 2024 at which time such bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work, in accordance with Drawings and Specifications prepared by Stantec Consulting Services Inc., consists of the following major items of work and approximate quantities: 1,565 CY Backwater Habitat Muck Excavation (Offsite Removal) 1,745 LF Bank Grading 2,535 CY Vegetated Riprap 46 CY Boulder Sill Installation 20 CY Riprap Outlet Protection 250 CY Riprap Overflow Channel Installation 6 CY Groundwater Seep Stabilization 130 LF Wood Toe with Root Wads Installation 8 EA Buried Log Sills Installation 1 EA Log Vane with Rock Hook Installation 5,825 SY Coir Erosion Control Blanket Installation 20,300 SY Category 25 Erosion Control Blanket Installation 5 EA Tree Plantings 300 EA Perennial Plug Plantings Together with traffic control, clearing and grubbing, downed tree removal, miscellaneous grading, erosion controls, seeding, restoration and other related appurtenances. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled at the project site for 9:00 AM CDT Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Meet in the southern parking lot of Coon Rapids Regional Dam Park (9750 Egret Blvd NW). Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a certified check made payable to the COON CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT (OWNER) in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, or a surety bond in the same amount, running to the OWNER, with the surety company thereon duly authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota. Such Bid Security to be a guarantee that the bidder will not, without the consent of the OWNER, withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening of bids, and if awarded a contract, will enter into a contract with the OWNER; and the amount of the certified check will be retained or the bond enforced by the OWNER in case the bidder fails to do so. All bid securities except those of the three lowest bidders will be returned within five days after the opening of bids. Eligible Bidders for this project must meet the Minimum Criteria as defined in the Section 00 45 49 Responsible Contractor Law in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 16C.285, subdivision 3, and additional criteria required by the OWNER. Bid Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished for that purpose. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder shall withdraw their bid, without the consent of the OWNER, for the period of days indicated above after the date for the opening thereof. The OWNER, however, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor irregularities, informalities or discrepancies. A work history detailing qualifications and past experience must be provided upon request.
