COLUMBIA HEIGHTS PUBLIC SCHOOLS MINUTES OF THE SCHOOL BOARD MEETING AUGUST 13, 2024 This abridged version of the August 13, 2024, School Board minutes. Called to order at 6:00 PM All Members present: Ms. Granlund, Ms. Palmer, Ms. Medearis, Ms. Mueller, Ms. Palmer, Ms. Houle, Ms. Pettway, and Superintendent Stenvik Motion by Granlund, seconded by Pettway, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Houle, seconded by Palmer, to move to a closed session to discuss contract negotiation. The Board returned to Open Session at 7:02 PM Motion by Granlund, seconded by Pettway, to approve consent agenda. Personal Report, Minutes 7/9/24 Treasurer Report, The READ Act Memorandum of Understanding. Motion carries unanimously Medearis moved to accept the donation resolution for contributions of $7,575, which was seconded by Houle. The resolution passed unanimously. Motion by Palmer, seconded by Houle, to approve the closure of Valley View Elementary Grades Kindergarten and 2 for open enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year. Motion carries unanimously.
