ORDINANCE NO. 10-18-01
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE
REGULATION OF THE FLOODPLAIN;
CREATING SECTION 150.022 OF
THE BROWNSVILLE CITY CODE
SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE

This ordinance adopts the FEMA model
floodplain ordinance provided by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
The Ordinance provides the general regulations for development in areas located in
the floodplain in the City of Brownsville. The
Ordinance also addresses potential conflicts
with other City Ordinances, delineates permitted uses, provides provisions for variances, regulates non-conformities, and outlines
penalties for violations.

Ordinance is available for inspection in the
Clerk’s Office by any person during regular
office hours or on the City of Brownsville
Webpage (www.brownsvillemn.org).
This Ordinance was approved and adopted by the Brownsville City Council after a
Public Hearing October 3, 2018.
