105th acquisition

2101 105th Avenue was recently acquired by Blaine.

At the Jan. 22 meeting, the Blaine City Council approved the purchase of a building at 2101 105th Avenue, for the continuation of the redevelopment project in the area. Council Member Leslie Larson was the lone opposition in a 6-1 vote.

Community Development Director Erik Thorvig said that the council had directed staff to offer a price to the seller of $185 per square foot. The final price is $1.924 million for the building, which Thorvig said was a little under what it had previously been.
