The city of Osseo is looking to fill a void within the aspect of employee safety training. The Osseo City Council was made aware that after some internal examinations, city staff found a “deficiency in training” at its Jan. 27 meeting.

City Administrator/Police Chief Shane Mikkelson said, “Coming from a background in policing, training is one of the top priorities for us. Almost every day we’re doing some sort of training within our department. And when I came up to City Hall taking on the dual role, I see a little bit of a place that we could get better at.”
