The official RIA Novosti channel on Telegram has won the Eventiada IPRA GWA 2021 international award for best media campaign, the official website of the award reports.
This award is recognition of our journalists’ effort and talent, as well as their loyalty to the chosen strategy – accuracy, reliability, speed and exclusivity, all combined together. We have something others don’t – such as many exclusive videos and photos from all over the world where we do the work ourselves. Unlike many aggregators who reprint other agencies’ news, we create our own stories and make sure they are verified; we never post fake news like some anonymous news providers on Telegram. Due to hundreds of publications and citations on other Telegram channels, the RIA Novosti channel is also one of the most influential Russian-speaking channels and sets trends in Russian news on Telegram.
Eventiada IPRA GWA is the largest communications award in Eastern Europe, the CIS and Central Asia, organized by Orta Communications Group and the International Public Relations Association (IPRA). Since 2020, Eventiada IPRA GWA has joined IPRA Golden World Awards in supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
