Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association is seeking high school juniors to apply for the annual National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. in June. Pictured are the Minnesota’s 2024 Youth Tour attendees in Washington, D.C.
Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association is seeking high school juniors to apply for a weeklong, all-expenses-paid leadership opportunity. The annual National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Youth Tour will take place in Washington, D.C. from June 16-21.
The NRECA Youth Tour brings together more than 1,800 high school students from around the country. Attendees will spend a week visiting historical sites, making new friends, and taking part in once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to meet with Minnesota’s political representatives. Students will learn firsthand about local and national government, and how electric cooperatives across America are affected by today’s political decisions.
